Sunday Student Mass is not held on holidays that UMSL is not in session. This includes Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break. There also is no Easter Mass at UMSL. You may visit St. Ann down the street at any time for these Masses.

LITURGICAL MINISTRIES

Choir and Music Ministry
Share your vocal or instrumental talents with our community!  Come as you are, no yearlong commitment necessary. Meet at 5:30 pm before Sunday Mass to practice.  For more info and to sign up,  contact Fr. Nick at frnick@cncumsl.org.

Lector and Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist
Please contact Fr. Nick for more information on how to become involved with either of these ministries. We can schedule a specific or recurring Sunday for you, or you can let us know before Mass begins.

Liturgical Minister Training
Contact Fr. Nick to set up a time to meet at the Provincial House Chapel for Liturgical Minister Training Workshop.  We are happy to train anyone at any time– don’t hesitate!  It’s a short workshop with prayers, historical foundations, and official guidelines in the exact space we use for Mass. We will be learning and practicing the proper guidelines of Lectoring, being an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist (Body and Blood), and other areas of ministry as well.  You’ll leave knowing exactly what to do!

WEDDINGS

The Catholic Newman Center does not own the Provincial House Chapel, we reserve it through the University of Missouri-St. Louis as a student organization.  If you would like to reserve the chapel for your wedding or other events, contact UMSL’s Conference and Event Services at 314.516.4399 for further details, availability and pricing.  If you are Catholic and desire to celebrate your Catholic marriage in the Provincial House chapel, there is an Archdiocesan Marriage Policy governing the use of that space for Catholic weddings. In short, the policy says this:  It is the desire of the Archbishop that Catholics be connected to a faith community, and celebrate their sacraments within the context of that community of believers.  Thus, use of the Provincial House Chapel for Catholic marriages is restricted to those who are/were students /faculty/staff at UMSL and who make/made the Provincial House Community their regular Sunday place of worship.  Click <<here>>  to see the full policy.  If you have further questions as to whether you meet the criterion for use of this space, please contact Fr. Nick at frnick@cncumsl.org.
